The Panasonic NS700 supports Panasonic’s proprietary IP handsets (KX-NT553X) which can connect to the PBX from anywhere where there is an internet connection. The Panasonic IP handsets look and work exactly like any other phone in office.
Proprietary vs SIP
When a manufacturer makes a VoIP handset to work specifically with their system this is what we call a proprietary solution and it is often far superior to a standard SIP handset as all of the features of the phone system will work whereas functionality on a standard SIP phone is limited.
